  • Gold carry restrictions removed across all levels

World & Farming Adjustments

  • Cow Level accessible even after Cow King kill
  • Increased monster density in:
    • Moo Moo Farm

  • Increased Champion pack frequency in Cow Level
  • Return of select Super Unique monsters

World Behaviour Changes

  • Key NPC repositioning for improved flow:
    • Jerhyn relocated outside the palace
    • Deckard Cain positioned near stash in Harrogath
  • Nihlathak's Temple portal remains open after completion
  • Removed Duriel death screen shake

Skill Adjustments

General

  • Teleport enabled within town
  • All attacking skills available on both mouse buttons

Buff Duration Changes

  • Battle Orders, Shout, and Battle Command durations unified and extended
  • Hurricane duration increased
  • Holy Shield duration scaling increased

Aura Adjustments

  • Multiple auras increased in effective radius (generally standardised to 16)
  • Vigor slightly increased
  • Fanaticism and Holy Shock now scale radius per level
  • Holy Shock base radius reduced for balance

Itemisation Changes

General

  • Item levels displayed on all items
  • Increased drop rates for uniques, rares, and sets
  • Chest drops now scale with area level
  • Unique items may drop multiple times per game

Expanded Item Pool

  • Items from later patches introduced with adjusted rarity
  • Dual colour systems (1.09 and 1.10 styles) supported
  • New "Vibrant" set tier added, with conversion recipes

Crafting & Systems

  • Vibrant bases integrated into crafting
  • Additional cube recipes introduced, including guaranteed socketing options

Runes

  • Rune drop rates aligned with later versions
  • Full rune upgrading system added
  • Rune visibility improved via colour changes

Economy & Item Handling

  • Increased durability and reduced repair costs (further reductions for elite melee)
  • Stack sizes increased for quantity-based items
  • Scroll costs reduced
  • Vendors selling health potions now also sell mana potions

Boss & Drop Adjustments

  • Duriel drop table improved and aligned with other bosses
  • Baal waves grant increased experience and corrected drop classes
  • Baal drops all essence types
  • Countess rune drops adjusted by difficulty

Additional Changes

  • Mercenaries can equip full item sets
  • Rare items spawn with maximum affixes
  • Circlets spawn with intended socket ranges
  • Raven Claw adjusted to support early progression
  • Standard of Heroes added with unique socketing functionality
  • Multiple Wirt's Legs can now be carried

Bug Fixes

Diablo 09 represents a complete and considered reworking of the 1.09 experience, preserving its core identity while addressing long-standing limitations, technical constraints, and quality-of-life gaps.
